| On the weekend of 26 & 27 July 2008, West Coast Railway Company opened their depot at Carnforth to the public for the first time.
Visiting locos were invited from all the major rail companies together with a select band of preserved examples. 26010 was one of these and was hauled from Bo'ness to Carnforth on Wednesday 23rd July by WCRC 33025. Special thanks must go to the SRPS volunteers who worked tirelessly to prepare the loco, including Graham Scott, Stuart Sellar, Martin Taylor & David Dibben. At West Coast Railway Company special thanks are extended to Dan Monkman, Peter Walker & Craig Armstrong.
